On the table there is bread, milk, and fruit.
Sofía abre el refrigerador.
Sofia opens the refrigerator.
No hay huevos.
There are no eggs.
—No hay huevos —dice Sofía—. Necesito ir a la tienda.
“There are no eggs,” says Sofia. “I need to go to the store.”
Sofía sale de su casa.
Sofia leaves her house.
La tienda está cerca.
The store is nearby.
—Buenos días —dice Sofía.
“Good morning,” says Sofia.
—Buenos días —dice el señor de la tienda.
“Good morning,” says the shopkeeper.
—Quiero 1 kilo de huevo y ¼ de tocino, por favor.
“I want 1 kilo of eggs and ¼ of bacon, please.”
—Sí, claro.
“Yes, of course.”
Sofía paga y regresa a casa.
Sofia pays and goes back home.
En la cocina, Sofía prepara huevos estrellados con pan y tocino.
In the kitchen, Sofia prepares fried eggs with bread and bacon.
También toma leche.
She also drinks milk.
—¡Qué rico desayuno! —dice Sofía.
“What a delicious breakfast!” says Sofia.
Después, Sofía se va a la escuela feliz.
After that, Sofia goes to school happy.
