Sofía y su amigo Diego decidieron pasar unas vacaciones en Puebla.
Sofía and her friend Diego decided to spend a vacation in Puebla.
Querían conocer la ciudad, probar la comida típica y visitar lugares cercanos.
They wanted to explore the city, try typical food, and visit nearby places.
Llegaron un lunes por la mañana y se hospedaron en un pequeño hotel en el centro histórico.
They arrived on Monday morning and stayed in a small hotel in the historic center.
Después de dejar su equipaje en la habitación, salieron a caminar por las calles empedradas.
After leaving their luggage in the room, they went for a walk along the cobbled streets.
Sofía dijo: —¡Mira esos colores! Nunca había visto edificios tan bonitos.
Sofía said: “Look at those colors! I have never seen such beautiful buildings.”
Decidieron comer en un restaurante local. Diego pidió mole poblano con arroz y Sofía eligió chiles en nogada.
They decided to eat at a local restaurant. Diego ordered mole poblano with rice and Sofía chose chiles en nogada.
Además, compartieron un agua de horchata muy refrescante. Mientras comían, hablaron sobre los planes para los próximos días.
They also shared a very refreshing horchata. While eating, they talked about plans for the next days.
Por la tarde, visitaron el Mercado El Parián y compraron recuerdos para sus familias.
In the afternoon, they visited El Parián Market and bought souvenirs for their families.
Sofía compró artesanías de talavera y Diego eligió unas camisetas con diseños tradicionales.
Sofía bought talavera crafts and Diego chose some t-shirts with traditional designs.
Al final del día, regresaron al hotel cansados pero contentos.
At the end of the day, they returned to the hotel tired but happy.
El segundo día, tomaron un tour a Cholula.
On the second day, they took a tour to Cholula.
Caminaron alrededor de la Gran Pirámide de Cholula y subieron al santuario de la Virgen de los Remedios.
They walked around the Great Pyramid of Cholula and climbed to the Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Remedies.
Sofía dijo: —¡Qué vista tan increíble! Podemos ver toda la ciudad desde aquí.
Sofía said: “What an amazing view! We can see the whole city from here.”
Después, comieron en un restaurante local de Cholula y probaron cemitas poblanas, un plato típico de la región.
Afterwards, they ate at a local restaurant in Cholula and tried cemitas poblanas, a typical dish of the region.
El tercer día visitaron Atlixco, famoso por sus jardines y flores.
On the third day, they visited Atlixco, famous for its gardens and flowers.
Pasearon por el centro, subieron al Cerro de San Miguel y disfrutaron del mirador de cristal, desde donde tenían una vista muy linda de la ciudad y los alrededores.
They walked around the center, climbed the Cerro de San Miguel, and enjoyed the glass viewpoint, from where they had a beautiful view of the city and surroundings.
También compraron flores y artesanías. Por la tarde, regresaron a Puebla y disfrutaron de un café en una terraza mientras planeaban su próximo viaje.
They also bought flowers and crafts. In the afternoon, they returned to Puebla and enjoyed a coffee on a terrace while planning their next trip.
Esa noche, mientras Sofía escribía en su diario, pensó: —Puebla y sus alrededores son increíbles. Quiero volver el próximo verano y explorar más ciudades cercanas.
That night, while Sofía was writing in her diary, she thought: “Puebla and its surroundings are amazing. I want to return next summer and explore more nearby cities.”
